However, if you are too far away he will do a jump attack which can be easily avoided, but only if you know it is coming. During this phase the boss will also start to use its tentacles in the forward position, so rather than sticking close, use either your bow or only go in for a quick 2-3 hit combo. The roots will never reach you at the outer edges of the arena, however, shots fired or jump attacks will still reach you, so this is only an option to evade the roots.

Make a dash either to the right or left of the arena, timing your rolls so you reach the edge as fast as you can while avoiding the roots punching through the ground.

  • Pay close attention to the boss because as soon as it punches its roots in the ground, you will need to react quickly.
  • My advice is to go in close and personal with your fully upgraded gloves and you should be able to take down 50% of its health with no problem at all. The shots don't pass the bushes scattered across the arena (thankfully) however, they pass the boss! Be on your guard and roll out of the way rather than risking a hit. They are not tough, however their shots can be troublesome.

These guys will shoot at you and are basically portable turrets. Its second attack is a rain of "seeds" which will spawn his minions at random locations. However, be on your guard as sometimes the tentacles still hit me even though I was out of reach. The first one would be a random attack with its tentacles/roots, but luckily these attacks are limited to the sides and upper front of the screen for now, so there is little need to worry about those. The boss will use only two attacks during this phase.Basically, the boss has the following attacks which can be roughly divided into phases:

You can obviously take them out, however, the boss will always spawn new ones so I would rather leave them where they are instead of bothering to kill them. The real problem are the minions it spawns which shoot at you from random angles. Its attacks are partly random (although they follow a pattern to some extent) but that is not the main issue. So this boss is the second hardest to 'perfect' in my opinion. Ring of the wanderer or ring of desperate attack.Alternatively, a set of upgraded fabric armour for a speed boost. An upgraded pair of gloves and the strongest possible bow.So, here is a short list of items/prerequisites you most likely will need for the boss of this dungeon: He will shoot those randomly while using attack pattern one, but also will add these shots while using pattern two. The guardian on the second floor has a slight variation as he will drop blue fruits which leave some sap on the floor, that will slow and damage you when stepping on it. The roots will do a swiping motion across the room, hitting you while going from left to right. These attacks will hit you almost certainly at some point so my advice is to either abuse the charged attack of your great sword or be really fast to dodge random hits. The tree shakes the branches, violently dropping fruits in a random fashion across the room. This time it is a giant tree which has, like the golem guardian, pretty predictable attack patterns. I strongly recommend to ignore kill requests as enemy spawns are random, therefore making these requests really time consuming and not worth the effort in my opinion.Īgain, each floor has a Guardian preventing you to reach the next possible floor.

My advice, keep a full stack of each item of the current dungeon you are doing and only accept requests you can easily satisfy without going out of your way. To see people's requests and also how long you have left to complete the request, open your merchant notebook and tab across to the calendar page. People will come into your shop and wait at the right hand side till for you to take their request, which you can either accept or ignore. This will also add a new mechanic to your shop, which is for taking small requests for either items or enemy kills of specific dungeons. Next will be the achievement for getting your second shop upgrade. The fourth item will only be unlocked upon killing the boss, so please be aware of this! You can buy a total of 4 items per dungeon where each item will unlock upon reaching higher floors of the respective dungeon. He will be standing south of your shop pretty much in a straight line, selling items that increase your shop efficiency.

If not, he will be available upon killing the boss of this dungeon. I am pretty sure that at this stage you can get the Hawker/Peddler Merchant from the town board already.
